PCRCC Elects New Leadership
Circleville, Ohio, May 10 - The Pickaway County Republican Party is proud to announce the election of new officers to continue to bring strong elected leaders and conservative values to the people of the county.
Travis Ricketts will be leading the party as the chair. Residing in Circleville, Ricketts brings more than a decade worth of experience working for state house Republicans in various government agencies and campaigns. He brings a deep understanding of political strategy and governance to his new position.
Sandy Darby has returned as the vice chair of the party, marking her fifth consecutive term elected to this vital role. From Scioto Township, Darby's extensive background as a retired fiscal officer with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) will continue to be an invaluable asset to the party’s ability to financially support conservative candidates for Pickaway County.
Ronde Cook Brushart has been unanimously reelected for her third term as Treasurer. Calling Harrison Township home, Brushart’s role as the chief financial officer in the county Clerk of Courts office and prior experience as a regional bank manager will ensure the party's financial affairs continue to be in capable hands.
Matt Forquer has been elected to serve as the Secretary of the party. A native of Ashville, Forquer has more than two decades of experience in the commercial insurance industry. Forquer’s attention to detail, organizational skills and long-standing ties to the community will be instrumental in communicating the Republican Party values with voters.
As a first-term chair of the party, Ricketts wants to improve upon the strong foundation left behind by outgoing Chair Mike Whitten, who declined to run again after leading the party since 2016.
“Chairman Whitten laid a solid foundation giving us many tools for success in coming campaigns,” Ricketts said. “We are grateful for his leadership and years of service. November is fast approaching and our party has to organize to ensure that we win back the White House, put Bernie Moreno in the US Senate, secure our majority on the Ohio Supreme Court and ensure our conservative candidates beat their democrat opponents. To do this the officers need the help of the entire central committee, so we are reaching out to get their input on how we should move forward as a party. With their help we hope to announce various outreach programs in the coming weeks.”
